Marketplace Agreement

Please carefully read this Plugin Marketplace Agreement. This Agreement governs your submission and distribution of plugins as a developer through the Dify Plugin Marketplace and sets forth the licenses you grant to LangGenius, Inc., as well as the parties’ respective rights and obligations.
1. Definitions
Dify: The open-source platform managed by LangGenius, Inc. for developing LLM-driven AI applications.
Dify Plugin Marketplace: The plugin platform operated by LangGenius, Inc. for sharing and deploying plugins designed to enhance the functionality of Dify Apps.
Developer: An individual or entity who uses the Dify Plugin Marketplace to create, submit, manage, and distribute plugins.
End User: An individual or entity who installs and uses plugins listed on the Dify Plugin Marketplace.
User Data: Any data provided, generated, or collected through plugins by the End User, including personal information, configuration data, usage logs, and generated content.
Developer Content: All content submitted by Developers through the Plugin Marketplace, including the plugin itself, plugin name, description, icon, screenshots, documentation, privacy policy links, and Developer brand features.
2. Plugin Submission, Review, and Listing
2.1 Submission: You may submit your plugin for listing on the Plugin Marketplace. Specific plugin requirements are set forth in the Dify Marketplace Plugin Development Guidelines.
2.2 Review: Dify reserves the right to review any submitted plugins to determine compliance with Dify’s standards and policies.
2.3 Listing and Delisting: Dify may, in its sole discretion, decide whether to permit a plugin to be listed, recommended, suspended, or removed.
3. Plugin Ownership and License
3.1 Plugin Ownership: Plugin ownership is categorized as: (a) Official Dify Plugins. (b) Community Contributor Plugins. (c) Plugin Partner Plugins. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, intellectual property rights in Community Contributor and Plugin Partner plugins vest in the Developer.
3.2 License Granted to Dify: For plugins submitted by Community Contributors and Plugin Partners, you grant to Dify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, copy, distribute, display, promote, run, test, and make necessary format adjustments to your plugin.
4. Plugin Usage Scope and Commercialization
4.1 Usage Scope: (a) Dify shall promote and distribute qualifying plugins to End Users through the Marketplace. (b) End Users may install and use plugins for personal, research, internal business, production, or commercial purposes. (c) Dify may include your plugin as part of commercial products or services.
4.2 Commercialization Restrictions: (a) The Marketplace currently permits only free plugins. (b) You shall not include paid purchase or subscription functions in any plugin. (c) If your plugin requires external paid services, you must clearly disclose this. (d) Future paid plugin policies will be announced separately.
5. Developer Obligations
- 5.1 Compliance and Policy Adherence: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and Dify’s published platform agreements and development guidelines.
- 5.2 Information Accuracy and Transparency: Ensure that information submitted is true, accurate, and complete.
- 5.3 Plugin Quality and Security Assurance: Be fully responsible for the functionality, stability, security, and updates of the plugin.
- 5.4 Respect for Third-Party Rights: Ensure that the plugin does not infringe any intellectual property rights or legal rights of any third party.
- 5.5 Platform Security and Integrity Use: Shall not damage platform functions, circumvent technical restrictions, or engage in fraudulent behavior.
- 5.6 Account and Permission Management: Safeguard developer accounts and API credentials.
- 5.7 User Support Obligation: Be responsible for providing reasonable support to End Users related to the plugin.
- 5.8 Cooperation and Rectification: Cooperate with Dify investigations and implement corrective actions within a reasonable period.
6. Privacy and Data Security
6.1 Developer Obligations: Upon submitting a plugin, Developers must clearly state whether their plugin collects user personal data, list types of data collected, provide an accessible privacy policy link, and warrant compliance with all applicable data protection laws including GDPR.
6.2 Dify Plugin Marketplace Data Processing: The Marketplace itself does not directly collect personal information of plugin users. Dify.ai collects user personal information per its Privacy Policy at https://dify.ai/privacy.
7. Platform Rights Reserved and Intellectual Property
Dify reserves all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform itself. Nothing in this Agreement confers ownership or usage rights of Dify Brand Features on Developers, unless otherwise authorized by Dify in writing.
8. Third-Party Software and Open Source Sample Code
When you use third-party software or open source sample code to develop plugins, you must comply with the terms of the applicable third-party or open source licenses.
9. Agreement Term and Termination
9.1 This Agreement is effective upon your first use of the Dify Plugin Marketplace and remains in effect until terminated. Dify may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason.
9.2 Upon violation of this Agreement, all your rights and licenses shall automatically and immediately terminate without further notice.
9.3 Sections 6, 7, 10, and 11 shall survive any termination of this Agreement.
10. Disclaimer
Plugins are independently created and maintained by Developers, and the Dify Plugin Marketplace serves solely as a distribution platform. Dify makes no express or implied warranties regarding the accuracy, security, legality, or availability of the plugins.
11. Governing Law
Any claims or disputes arising from or related to the use of the Plugin Marketplace shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes shall be submitted to the state or federal courts located in the Northern District of California.
12. Agreement Modification
Dify reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Your continued use of any part of the Plugin Marketplace after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Agreement.
